People often tend to confuse terms. For example consider the term Chaos. Most people would agree to say that chaos is simply disorder, nonsense, incomprehensible matter.
Quantum physics confirms today that chaos, as the primitive source of all things from the micro to the macro-cosmic stance is order indeed, only that it is an order so complex and volatile that human mind and senses cannot distinguish its functionality or simply cannot make it match with their incomplete and retrograde logic, therefore they are obliged to assert that it is simply disorder and with that in mind they sleep in peace.
Pimentola penetrate the big mouth of chaos and actually gives us the idea on how interesting and logic it may be.
Don’t expect common grounds or simple rhythm cadences, easy to follow musical course and the now clichéd landscapes from the neoclassical and dark ambient reign that is so common these days. This wouldn’t entertain your “logic” necessity for order or your desirous heart in search for simple drum marches repeating ad-nauseaum. Above all it’s clear that this is not a work made to satisfy the music costumer or to please him with the necessity that comes from hearing something that sounds like everything else.
This is truly avant-garde music with a heartfelt and passionate attitude towards authentic creation therefore it must thwart listener. At least the souless one.
The musical arsenal used to create this miasma its immense. A vast amount of instruments used, from classical to non classical (Live instruments not samplers, Alas!) excellent samplers, multitude of instrumental textures and variations, maximalism spiced with a vast array of delicacies everywhere. The only properly sung song “Death is a secret” is superb. Excellent vocalization and emotional induction noticed, dark cabaret kind of influence. The other voices from other songs like “Black globe” for example uses a hissing and whispering like voice which gives a special mysterious feeling that is just unique.
The styles used are a universal compendium of references: Neoclassical, post industrial, few martial undertones, electro-noise aberrations, operatic backgrounds and dark ambience so far noticed, shake well, pour it down and let the silt to seat in the bottom. This may be a venom or a strange and delightful cocktail in the end. So all in all this is fairly holistic in many senses, from the more musical part and it’s vast array of instruments used to the expert sniper accuracy choose for founding the musical styles proper to mix to side of the ideological content, which off course adds more difficulty to the comprehension of the work in itself.
Desperation and manias, apocalyptic terrors, soul pain, charred love and lost utopias are the guests awaiting for the listener, all while the music slowly plays and develops its violent and sincere content in the plateau of that old dark cabaret that conforms civilization, or most precisely, misantropolis.
